Andy Yiadom Appointed As New Reading FC Captain.
Black Stars right-back Andy Yiadom has been named as the new captain for the English Championship side Reading Football Club.
This follows after successful long spells with the team and renewing his contract for future years before the end of last season.
Speaking on why Andy Yiadom was named as captain, head coach of the side Paul Ince said:
“As a manager, it’s so important to be able to call on players who you know will give their absolute all to succeed, from the moment they cross the white line to the final whistle, players who play for their teammates, the fans and the crest.”
Andy Yiadom was Voted as Player of the Season after displaying some good performances and playing actively in the majority of the games for Reading.
Andy Yiadom’s performance at the club level was reflected in the Ghana national team after helping the Black Stars to qualify for the World Cup In Qatar later in November.
Tomorrow, the Royals will take on Benfica in a friendly at St George’s Park and Andy Yiadom Is expected to wear the armband.
