Winner of MTN Hit Maker last season, Okailey Verse popularly known as OV has reacted to the controversial exit of her former labelmate Kelvynboy from the Burniton Music Group Label.
In an interview with veteran broadcaster Abeiku Santana, OV, when asked to comment on the issue, stated that no matter the differences between the two thus Stonebwoy and Kelvynboy, they still would remain family.
“I’m still signed onto BMG, all that I know is Kelvyn Boy is still my brother, Blakk Cedi is Still my big brother and Stonebwoy is my Papa, we are still family and would remain family no matter what. We would continue to share our beautiful moments” she said.
Stonebwoy released a press statement on last week Tuesday to confirm that indeed, the music marriage between BMG record label and Kelvyn Boy has ended.
According to the statement released on his Instagram page, the company has taken this decision due to the Burniton Music Group auditing its relationship with its officers and associated acts.
The Burniton Music Group explained that Kelvyn Boy’s one (1) year contract with the group expired in January 2019. There was an option to renew the contract. However, due to the conduct of Kelvyn Boy during his tenure with BMG, they have decided to let him go.
